In Matt's paper about gun control and how it is unnecessary to own a gun. I was curious about what about psychotic murders that get their guns off the black market or some foreign country. How would we defend ourselves? If we can't have guns we would have to come up with something else such as a knife or a bow and arrow. Or what if there was a world with no weapon control at all? If everyone could just run around killing anyone? Who would control then? Would it be the sneakiest, the most powerful, the most material?
In Casey's paper he talks about ways to vent through video games instead of punching people out in real life just let all your anger our through PS3 or Xbox games. But what if, there was a way to vent through hugging. You just get so angry at someone you just want to hug them. Instead of destroying people in video games you just go up to that person and give him a huge bear hug.
In Ryan's paper about bowl games and how they are arranged for winning teams to face winning teams. What if there was no system for who plays who. What if it was just made entirely out of pick up games and there was no ranking system. There would be no competition for who's the best and no football scholarships given out to people that are really good.
